Bull Outdoor Products Reviews

When it comes to outdoor kitchens, Bull Outdoor Products is one of the best in the business. And it’s not just because they’re the largest manufacturer of premium outdoor kitchen products. They offer high quality products that shout “luxury” but are priced much lower than any of their competitors. Their product lines include charcoal and gas grill heads, pizza ovens, customizable BBQ islands, bars, fireplaces, stainless steel grills with carts, doors, refrigerators, and even sinks. They even offer several accessories to complete your outdoor kitchen such as umbrellas, chairs, pizza stones and other tools, sauces, and rubs.

Bull Outdoor Products has been great quality grills since 1993 with more than 900 dealers and distributors in North America alone. The brand has an established reputation for offering well-built, great looking grills that could easily become the centerpiece of any outdoor kitchen. In fact, their grills are so good that they are the preferred equipment of many chefs who battle in the World Food Championships, including members of Team Bull who have won the World Burger Championships back-to-back. Who wouldn’t want a grill that is trusted by experienced grillers the world over?

What really makes Bull Outdoor Products stand out among all the rest is the “reliaBULL” technology. What’s that, you wonder? Well, it’s actually cutting-edge technology based on research conducted by engineering experts at California Polytechnic State University. And it was designed to ensure that no grill surface remained unused, eliminating problems due to uneven heating. Every inch is warmed at the temperature you desire with no “hot spots” or “cold spots” to worry about. That’s not something you can say for all other grills out there.

In the past few years, Bull Outdoor Products has been slowly expanding its reach. It has partnered with a company in Maltese to bring the Bull brand into the European market as well as the North African and Middle East markets. It has also partnered with The Coleman Company to create a new line of grills, outdoor kitchens, and components under the Coleman brand.

It’s pretty obvious that you can’t go wrong with a grill from Bull Outdoor Products, especially since they’re offered at a great price point. The question you need to ask is, which of their high quality grills should you get? Well, our reviews below should help you make your choice.

The Bull Outlaw is an entry level built-in gas grill head that’s perfect for households who love to host large parties. Feeding a hungry horde definitely won’t be much of a problem if you have this grill in your outdoor kitchen. It has 600 square inches of primary space with an additional 210 square inches from the warming rack. There are 4 porcelain coated cast iron burners. The cooking performance of this grill is quite powerful producing a total of 60,000 BTUs. The cooking grates are made of solid stainless steel for excellent heat retention and easy maintenance. The double-walled hood is constructed out of 14 gauge 304 stainless steel to ensure durability and keep the heat in. The grill features reliable Piezo igniters which means you can start your grill any time, all the time. Even better, this baby can reach a temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit within 5 minutes! More importantly, enjoy even heat distribution with the ReliaBull technology – perforated stainless steel flame tamers that eliminate any hot and cold spots on your grill surface. However, the burners only come with a 2-year warranty while the flame tamers have a 3-year warranty. The valves come with a 1-year warranty. The grates are backed by a 5-year warranty. The same goes for the fire box. One thing to take note as well is the lack of a rear burner and rotisserie kit. For the price point and performance though, this is one no-frills gas grill that would impress even the most experienced of grillers.

Bull Outdoor Products 87048 Lonestar Select Liquid Propane Drop-In Grill

The Lonestar Select from Bull Outdoor Products looks quite similar to the Outlaw. It’s a 4-burner built-in gas grill that features 600 square inches of primary cooking space and 210 square inches of secondary cooking space. The output is also a whopping 60,000 BTUs that allows the grill to reach 500 degrees Fahrenheit in a few minutes. The hood is double-walled stainless steel as well for excellent heat retention. It also features a single piece design which improves the durability of the grill because there are no welded seams that will break apart later on. And there’s the presence of the ReliaBull technology – perforated flame tamers that ensure heat is evenly distributed on the entire grill surface. No burning hot or cold on the Lonestar Select. But that’s about it for the similarities. So, what are the differences? Well, compared to the Outlaw, this model is an upgrade of sorts. First, the burners are 4 welded stainless steel burners which come with a longer warranty – 5 years. The solid stainless steel grates and fire box both come with a lifetime warranty. Another difference is that the body of the grill is made of 16 gauge 304 stainless steel which is thicker for extra durability that will last a long, long time. And here’s one more: the Lonestar Select features the Twin Lighting system which allows you to enjoy nighttime grilling whenever the mood strikes. Any drawbacks? There’s only one we can think of. This model, just like the Outlaw, does not come with a rear burner and rotisserie kit which limits cooking versatility.

At the higher end of the entry level category offered by Bull Outdoor Products, you’ll find the Angus. At first glance, this grill head seems a lot similar to the Lonestar Select and Outdoor models. The outer housing is made of 14 gauge 304 grade stainless steel. The cooking grates and warming rack are made of the same heavy duty material. The grill offers 600 square inches of primary cooking surface and 210 square inches of secondary cooking surface. The Piezo ignition system ensures that you can start up your grill whenever you need to. It is completely battery-free which is one less thing you need to worry about. The ReliaBull system utilizes burners and perforated flame tamers that feature a unique design which eliminates hot and cold spots by evening out heat distribution and temperature throughout the grill. As an added bonus, the flame tamers vaporize any drippings into flavorful smoke. Plus, like the Lonestar Select, this model also comes with the Twin Lighting system so you can grill at night. But that’s the end of the similarities. What makes this grill top-of-the-line is that it offers so much more. Unlike the other models, the Angus features cast stainless steel burners which come with a 20-year warranty. Each burner is individually controlled using textured round burner control knobs which means you can be quite flexible with your cooking. You also don’t have to worry about greasy hands unable to turn the burners on or off. In addition, this baby comes with a horizontal infrared backburner that has an output of 15,000 BTUs and a rotisserie kit. All of the main burners feature a unique design – a lip on the top sides of the burner tubes to prevent the ports from getting clogged by grease dripping from your meats.

Bull Outdoor Products BBQ 57569 Brahma 90,000 BTU Natural Gas Grill Review

If the Angus is not enough big enough for your grilling needs, Bull Outdoor Products does offer something bigger. The next upgrade would be the Bull Brahma. Unlike all the other products we’ve reviewed so far, this one comes with 5 main burners AND a rear infrared burner. The 5 main burners are made of cast stainless steel. Each burner (including the back burner) has an output of 15,000 BTUs which makes the total output 90,000 BTUs. All the burners can be independently controlled with the Bull sure-lite gas valves and heavy duty Push-to-Turn knobs. The Brahma features a dual-lined roll top hood made of 16 gauge, 304 brushed stainless steel with seamless welded edges for easy lifting and excellent heat retention. The cooking grates and warming rack are also made of stainless steel. These provide you with a very large cooking space equaling to 1026 square inches (266 of which is for the warming rack). Can you imagine just how much food you can cook in this thing? You can feed your entire neighborhood and no one would go hungry! The Brahma also comes with a stainless steel rotisserie motor as well as a chrome plated spit and rod. A stainless steel full-size drip tray makes cleaning the grill a breeze. Twin internal lights ensure that you can happily go on cooking even when the moon comes out. Moreover, the burners, grates, and fire box all come with a lifetime warranty. And like all other Bull grills today, this built-in gas grill comes with ReliaBull technology for even heat distribution and better cooking performance.

Renegade 5 Burner, 38″  Natural Gas Grill Review

Review Score -5

If the cost of the Bull Brahma is a bit too rich for your blood at almost $3000, Bull Outdoor Products does offer a similar model at a lower price point – the Renegade. Of course, this built-in gas grill isn’t going to be an exact replica of the Brahma but it has a lot of its main features. This grill features 5 main burners, all of which produce an output of 15,000 BTUs each. However, these burners are made of porcelain coated cast iron and only come with a 5-year warranty. The Renegade also doesn’t come with an infrared back burner or a rotisserie kit which limits the grill’s versatility a bit. You also don’t get the Interior Twin Lighting System for nighttime grilling. The grill body is constructed out of 14 gauge 304 stainless steel. The dual lined hood comes with a heavy duty thermometer and is great at insulating heat. The grates and warming rack are solid stainless steel and provides a total cooking surface that measures 1026 square inches. The grates and the fire box are backed by a lifetime warranty. And then there’s the presence of the ReliaBull Technology that improves heat distribution by 50% through uniquely designed, perforated flame tamers, eliminating hot and cold spots on your grilling surface. Obviously, this is a no-frills grill but that doesn’t mean it can’t match the cooking performance of the Brahma. And at a much lower price point that won’t empty out your wallet too much.
